Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan (ILL) is the state and nationwide sharing of materials between libraries. Subject to local borrowing rules, a resident of the 12-county SCKLS taxing area may initiate an interlibrary loan request free-of-charge from any SCKLS member library.

SCKLS Services

SCKLS provides interlibrary loan services and encourages resource sharing among all libraries.  We also offer training and support for the delivery of these services to each member library.
KICNET Librarian Resources

KICNET (Kansas Information Circuit Network) is the computerized interlibrary loan network for Kansas libraries provided by the Kansas State Library.  The following resources are for SCKLS libraries fully participating in the KICNET ILL network, both lending and borrowing ILL materials on AGENT (Auto-Graphics state-wide hybrid catalog).
  • Application for library participation in KICNET (filled out yearly)
  • KILD - Kansas Interlibrary Loan Directory
  • Codes for KICNET libraries
  • Wimba Archived Session - online training session for the new hybrid KLC.  You will need to enter your name and run the wizard (if you haven't already) to enter the room where the archive will run. It should start automatically; if not, click on the Archive Start link in the upper right part of the screen. You will need headphones or speakers to hear the session. The session covers the following topics:
    • Searching
    • Customizing Screens
    • ILL Requesting
    • Cataloging
  • Preferred lender lists for SCKLS Libraries
